Five ways to reach Daruma.
However you're arriving from Bangkok, budget the best part of a day for the trip. These are the ways past students and visitors have made it work.
Pickup, about 1.5 hours
Flying into Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)? We can arrange a direct pickup for up to three people if timing allows. Contact us at least a week before you arrive.
Grab or taxi, about 1.5 hours
Grab (Uber's merged Thai service) books a car from Suvarnabhumi, Don Muang or almost anywhere in the country; install the app before you fly. A regular taxi works the same way from Bangkok or the airport, just agree the destination and price with the driver before you set off.
Train, about 3 hours
The one daily train leaves Bangkok's Hua Lamphong station at 6:55am and reaches Bang Phra station, right across the street from the farm, around three hours later. Monday to Friday only; the return service leaves Bang Phra at 3pm.
Bus, about 2 hours
From Bangkok's Eastern Bus Terminal at Ekkamai, buy a ticket to Bang Phra at window 15 (or any window marked "Sri Racha"); buses leave every 40 minutes. Bus 705 also runs from the Northern Bus Terminal at Chatuchak. From Bang Phra, a tuk tuk or motorbike taxi covers the last 10 to 15 minutes to the farm.
Drive, about 1.5 hours
Driving yourself or in a rental? Follow the route on Google Maps rather than searching for the address, which doesn't always resolve. There's parking at the farm when you arrive.
